  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Joseph Parker Overcomes Sherman Williams

Rising heavyweight prospect Joseph Parker remains undefeated after his 11th pro bout. Parker (11-0, 9KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Sherman Williams in a in Auckland, dominating a niggly fight but failing to land a knockout punch. Parker says William's tactics were dubious. He says he hit him after the bell, stood on his foot and led with his head a few times. Parker feels he out boxed Williams by fighting smart. Joseph Parker is set to fight again in December and thinks he can fight for a world title in two years time.

Looking at this Sherman Williams would be a perfect opponent for Big Anthony Joshua to try and attempt to at least get one guy to go the distance.

Joseph Parker has a reasonable chin it seems, in 2nd round he was clocked flush by a combo and a couple of big rights and possibly he dipped a tiny bit but he wasn't phased and came back strong, very cool customer for a young fighter
Williams isn't a huge puncher but that overhand right when he's fresh is pretty heavy I'd guess, he hit Parker with at least two of his best after getting under him Tyson style

Does Williams complain about everything now a days?

Sherman Williams is a guy that Anthony Joshua should target in his next few fights
