Comments Thread For: Muhammad Ali Plays Down Health Scare By Brother

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has hit back at rumors that he is so ill he can barely speak, by tweeting a photo of his smiling self along with the words ‘don’t believe the hype.’

The photo was posted online and features the three-time world heavyweight champion posing beside two women.

‘Don’t believe the hype. Feeling great earlier today,’ he tweeted.

Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1984 but his condition has gradually deteriorated and he is now mostly housebound.

Why does his brother insist he's getting worse? Maybe he was just seeking attention

This has happened before, which is why I was very skeptical when I heard his brother say this again.

I knew it was BS. His brother doesn't like him that much. I believe he is envious of Ali. When he said this last time, I didn't know what to think and learned more about Ali's relationship with his brother when Laila dispelled the rumors of that by showing a picture of her father getting ready to watch his Baltimore Ravens beat the Fortywhiners in the Super Bowl.

I mean, what does he has to gain by continuing to give false information about his health? It doesn't appear to be bad blood between the brother and the family if the brother was at the premiere, unless they just tolerate him and try to be as cordial as possible in public.
