He's the reason Ortiz is pretty much washed up as a fighter because everytime he gets hit on the jaw now he'll get stopped. Ortiz career was pretty much killed by Lopez - he is one tough as nails fighter.

Khan vs Lopez is a great fight and each fighter has a chance to win. If Khan gets caught up in a brawl he could lose to Lopez, he will need all his discipline and control to win this fight.

Damn, is Khan vs Lopez even a BETTER fight than Khan vs Guerrero?? Woah, boxing is getting too good to be true!

You 2 haven't seen Lopez vs Ortiz.. Go watch that fight man, I'm serious. Lopez is no joke - so he lost to Maidana but he made a mistake and got careless, he was ahead on the scorecards and beating Maidana when the fight was stopped. If they rematched he could beat Maidana - just like when Alvarado rematched Rios he beat him - (and countless other rematch reversals real boxing fans will be well aware of and newbies will have no clue).

So if Lopez is competitive with Maidana, I know it doesn't say a great deal since Khan dominated Maidana but styles make fights, cmon! See how Floyd struggled with Maidana while Khan beat him easy? Styles make fights. Lopez is at worst a b-level fighter and b-level fighters can beat a-level fighters on their day (see Paul Williams vs Carlos Quintana for example, see Khan vs Garcia for example, see Tyson vs Douglas for example etc.. etc.. the list is endless.

Anyway.. GO WATCH LOPEZ vs ORTIZ.. its a GREAT fight, the way Lopez, the underdog, beats Ortiz.. it was a thing of beauty man, I'll never forget that fight. Lopez became one of my favorite fighters after that

Lopez is a good fighter with lots of heart, and isn't afraid to let his hands go. I too enjoyed his fight with Ortiz. Victor tried to impose his will, but Josesito fought back hard and forced him to back off and eventually lose concentration. This led to the broken jaw. I agree that Khan vs Lopez is more appealing than Khan vs Guerrero.

Lopez looked like trash in his last fight. And Khan isn't the exciting Khan anymore. He's a clinch machine now under hunter. Fight won't be good IMO.

Lopez looked great in his last fight man, he won all rounds on ALL JUDGES SCORECARDS. Why say he looked like trash, you literally can't win a decision more convincingly than that.. wtf?

You think Khan vs Lopez is a better fight than Khan vs Guerrero? and do you think that Khan deserves a Floyd fight if he beats Lopez? hmm,

well it's a good question in a sense but i don't think floyd is ever going to fight Khan man.. He's going to duck him like he ducked Pacquiao, Williams and Margarito.. Khan isn't the first fighter Floyd made his mind up about ducking imo, and you know I'm a Floyd fan too but it is what it is, Floyd has ducked several fighters in the past due to the associated risk, he already ducked Khan twice to fight someone Khan already beat (and to fight him TWICE! lol) It's ridiculous if you think about it but it's reality..

Lopez is average. Looked poor in his last couple of fights. He's still riding the wave from the Ortiz fight

Lopez is a good fighter but not a Big name.. He can't be the stepping stone if Khan's willing to fight top 2 guys in the division (Mayweather & Pacquiao)

Khan needs a big name, thats why I like Khan vs Guerrero, Guerrero poses almost the same amount of threat as Lopez for Khan with the exception of being a bigger name IMO. (also Guerrero's a southpaw, so that advantage for Khan). If Khan fights Lopez, there would be endless whining on boxing boards that how he's not worthy of fighting Floyd etc etc.
