Hard-hitting southpaw Michael Farenas had his first sparring session at Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles on Tuesday (LA Time) under the supervision of trainer Carl Penalosa and strength and conditioning coach Jay San Pedro.

Ronnie has it right, in a way. Pedraza is in a hurry, he wants to cash that zero out. Buildup is ok, short pay isn't. Verdejo can fill a stadium fighting Howdie Doodie, Pedraza has to fight a feared, avoided, dangerous, experienced, puncher, and even then he might not sell out. Damn shame, I bet this fight would draw much more attention in the Filipines.

I agree. Pedraza doesn't get all the favoritism shown to Verdejo and I believe he has taken far more risks than Felix (fighting in many places and facing more dangerous opponents). And only few people seem to notice and appreciate Pedraza's career.
