Comments Thread For: Hopkins-Kovalev: Nadjib Mohammedi To Face Walker

IBF #1 contender Nadjib Mohammedi (35-3) takes on Demetrius Walker (7-7-1) on the undercard to the light heavyweight unification between Sergey Kovalev and Bernard Hopkins, taking place on November 8th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Mohammedi has spent a long time waiting since winning a final eliminator against Anatolij Dudchenko in June (and before waiting for his chance) but the boxer has stayed in training and been to Poland to spar with Mateusz Masternak and to Berlin to spar with Erik Skoglund and Arthur Abraham.

35-3 vs 7-7 is a terrible matchup. This is an outrage... I'm pretty tired of seeing outlandish mismatches like this one in Boxing...

The NJSAC shouldn't even sanction this gross mismatch.

Obviously they are not showing this pathetic mismatch on National TV.

I'm no particular fan of Haymon but there's no fighters of his of this card that I'm aware of.

Appalling matchup for Mohammedi however. He's obviously being shoehorned in cos he'll probably be the next opponent for the Hopkins / Kovalev winner as IBF Mando, but surely they could have come up with someone better than Walker (who's lost 7 of his last 8) to showcase him. smh.
