  • Comments Thread For: Rubio Vows Not To Be Another "Victim" Against Golovkin

Marco Antonio Rubio is promising not to become another victim when he faces WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Rubio's WBC interim-middleweight title is also at stake, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenge to full WBC champion Miguel Cotto. Rubio had a very hard training camp with coach Robert Garcia in Oxnard.

Golovkin has knocked out 27 out of his 30 opponents, while Rubio stopped 51 out of his 59 wins, and suffered 6 losses and one draw.

Watch the Ouma fight if you want to see Golovkin in a battle.

I think Rubio will do well.

i do see ggg winning this one. but will it be dominate or will he have to **** one out. up to rubio to bring the fight. while its great to see ggg dominate and walk his opponents down. i would enjoy seeing a more challenging and dramatic fight when a true champ shows his heart and has to dig deep to make the win all the more sweet.
