Duran I have not seen bashed anywhere here.

Calzaghe and Toney get bashed all the time, Calzaghe for his resume mostly, Toney for being a fat HW who refuses to retire.

The only type of fighter I could see not being disliked has to be someone who can box on their toes but also have power and bring the action. He must not have a criminal record, but also not be squeaky clean (otherwise he'll be hated by "urban" fans). He has to have a little bit of swag to him but not over do it and not to appear too ****y.

There has to be a balance of the main components to whether a fighter will be liked/disliked: Style, attitude/demeanor, skin color, background.

Yeah, that would be about the only thing I guess. But for armchair critics to call it quitting, it is pathetic. But then again, boxing fans are not supposed to be fair or anything.

I have never seen anyone bash Duran,Calzaghe,and James Toney.

Those 3 seen to be the most liked and respected fighters in the history of boxing. Those 3 legends ducked no one and always stood toe to toe and ****** it out.

yeah NSB pretty much slaughters everyone.


Having said that some fighters are more popular than others, there were some polls run a while back. I think Golovkin is the new darling of this forum, but Pacquiao is still up there.
