  • Comments Thread For: Denis Lebedev Back on Nov. 28, in Search for Opponent

WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (26-2, 20 KOs) lost 16 months, being out of the ring since his first epic encounter with Guillermo Jones in May 2013 and now looks to stay as active as he can. TBRB #3 Lebedev returned into action only three weeks ago but is already looking for more action after a smashing demolition of previously undefeated Pole Pawel Kolodziej (33-1, 18 KOs) within two rounds of brutal action.

Good to see he's remaining active.

Wlodarczyk would be an interesting opponent.

Too bad Marco Huck likely won't man up and go to Russia to fight Lebedev.

The WBA hasn't overturned the Jones fight and make it a no contest, at this point they never will.

They've both had 'favourable' decision wins, but why should Huck go to Russia? Lebedev seems averse to travelling.

If Huck's looking for a cash fight, he might as well give Nelson a shot.

          Lebedev fought Huck in Germany.

Why not have a rematch in Russia? Wouldn't that be fair?

Lebedev has fought outside Russia 4 times (Germany twice, UK twice) but Huck has never fought outside Germany (except once in Switzerland).

Lebedev has never won a questionable decision, Huck has had several gift decisions including his fight with Lebedev.

There's just something deeply su****ious about those big stage Russian events. Of course, Germany doesn't have an exemplary record for officiating, but I just get the feeling that they'd rob Marco. Still, a rematch is a good fight - but is it bigger than Nelson, or perhaps another fight at HW?

Yes, if anything he's been screwed in the 2 so-called losses he has.

He's "looking for an opponent." Big fan of Lebedev but this is what is wrong with boxing. Three other alphabet belt holders but he's looking for an opponent. ****!

Have to agree with Tunney/Freedom, but Lebedev beat Huck first time around in Germany. Huck might get screwed in Russia but it would be hard to feel bad about it considering how many close decisions he's gotten at home
