Amir is the man. I have never got why some people don't take to him. He is the man to beat Floyd.

He talks himself up a lot and people perceive it as arrogance. A lot of US fans appear to really dislike him, the last thing they want is Khan v FMJ.

I don't know if he beats FMJ, but imo it's at least a competitive fight that I'm interested in watching.

It really depends on the ref...If he will allow excessive clinching. Most people were surprised how FM/Maidana was close in fight 1 then being dominated in fight 2.

Khan only clinched v Collazo/Peterson because they (his opponents) were trying to work up close. Same is true for Floyd v Maidana II.

I don't see either fighter want to work on the inside in a Khan v FMJ fight, they're really two pure boxers who prefer to box at a distance.

So now Floyd is going to tie up Khan , are you watching these fights or just reading the hype columns , Khan wont get close enough to tie up and that wont be Floyds doing lol .

Floyd fought toe to toe with Maidana , everybody said his legs are shot and he was forced to fight that way .

Floyd comes out and uses his legs for the entire fight , ties him up in close and boxes his ears of at range , he likes to do what everybody says he cant do .

You guy just dont get it .

1st fight his legs were shot...he allowed Chino to put him on the ropes all night.

2nd fight Floyd adjusted and moved better, but also clinched excessively and the worst thing was bayless allowing it all night long even when Chino had an arm free.

Watch the fight again and count the # of clinches and then post again.

                  What fight ?

I wanna know how the styles relate to Khan vs Floyd , there will be no tie ups in that it will be fought at range .

I think it's largely to do with Khan's ethnicity and religion.. There's a deep-seated hatred of ******s within American society now, it's actually pretty extreme in some States, just do a Google search on that and you'll see what I mean. Official polls by various organizations/media demonstrate that, such as Huffington Post, NY Times etc..

Half the American boxing fans on here simply don't like Khan because of his ethnic origin. In 2014 that's disgraceful but unfortunately it's true.

Thanks man.. And I agree Khan should definitely play mind games, he doesn't seem to get that Floyd would only consider a fight against the pressure-fighter version of Khan because that makes the fight much easier for him. Instead, Khan has been killing the chances of that fight happening by saying he'll try to outbox Floyd, and he's been saying it for a while.

I noticed this way back and a thread of mine got deleted and I was banned again at the time -- BUT here's what I noticed back then: when that Khan-Maidana poll came out and Floyd had a artists picture of him KOing Khan, that was when Khan started talking openly about outboxing Floyd - then all of a sudden Floyd ducks Khan (even after Khan wins the poll) and he fights Maidana instead (a known pressure fighter). What Khan should have been saying is that he'll KO Floyd and pressure him too much - that was the whole point Floyd made that picture of Khan because he was trying to bait Khan into a brawling type of fight. But instead Khan straight away said he would try to fight highly tactical. BIG MISTAKE, he shouldn't have said that because Floyd has been running ever since.
