  • Joshua vs Mariusz Wach

This would be a great (but very dangerous) fight for Anthony.

It's guarantee Mariusz will give him rounds. He is also the first opponent who would be bigger ad have physical advantage over AJ.

But Joshua would learn A LOT and this would answer many Qs about AJ.

    Too early?

I voted Wach, based on what we have seen so far. But it is not too early for Joshua to take that step up. I hope he wont get nursed all the way through 30 fights and become another Wilder hype job. His management should take care of this.

They better have strict, random drug testing in place for such a fight.

considering that he's only had 9 fights, there has been a clear upward difficulty curve in his opponent selection; no stagnation or record padding like wilder did for so long

That's true. But Wach is pretty much all about his chin. Ask Wlad, Haye or Chisora. You break your hands on that chin...

It was incredible what Wach took from Wlad - even when you take into account he was on PEDs..

Difficult fight for AJ. Can he go the distance with Mr Iron Chin? Hmmm. Too early.

I was surprised Wlad took THAT flush straight right from Wach! Shows that Wlad's chin isn't as bad as some people make out.

As I said previously, this would probably be too soon for AJ, even though he's million miles better technically. AJ's big puncher, sure, but he'll need rounds to survive with someone like MW. My fear, at the moment, is that he'd fatigue and get stopped late.

                  Yes I agree with this.

AJ would be asked 2 things in this fight. Not just to fight the guy who is almost impossible to KO, but to fight someone who is significantly bigger than him.

he needs some middle step in-between. Maybe tony thompson..

Agreed.Wach destroys Wilder IMO,guys like Ustionov,Dimitrenko,Thompson have all been avoided by Wilder for good reason.Wilder has implode wrote all over him, just like the Price kid.

Great news, who against ? I am sure he has a hell of a lot left and I expect we see him in an eliminator before his career plays out, doubt he makes titlist.

Dude needs 6-7 rounds before taking Wach on,and more euro level opposition ie Dimitrenko,Zavorotnyi,Gerber.Wach is a tougher opponent than Ustinov,if AJ keeps winning in 2-3 rounds he be ready for Ustinov and Wach in six fights.fighting guys like Sprott do nothing for him,it is a step backwards after yesterday.
