Comments Thread For: K9 Bundrage Drops, Decisions Molina For IBF Crown

Oasis Hotel Complex, Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico - 41-year-old Cornelius "K9" Bundrage (34-5, 19KOs) regained his IBF junior middleweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision victory over Carlos Molina (22-6-2, 6KOs). Molina, who went down in the first and the tenth, was making the first defense of the title. The scores were 116-109, 117-106, 115-110.

Bundrage had lost the title on a close majority decision last February to Ishe Smith, who then lost the title to Molina in a close split decision in September.

What a truly amazing fight of the year fight between two warriors. Fever pitched with two guys putting it all on the line and firing missiles at each other.....................of course I'm talking about the Leonard/Hearns fight, lol!!!

Cong**** to K9. Best performance of his career against a solid top 3-5 contender on the road. He earned that belt this time. Well deserved.

Good for Bundrage dude still on the grind after all these years and disposed of a normally difficult opponent. Bundrage isn't a very exciting fighter either but at least he has a story that does not involve child **** thus make him much more likely to get a big fight than Molina.

I don't think Bundrage will have much issue getting a fight as long as he doesn't have huge price demands which has never been a big problem with him.

That one knockout he dealt to that European dude I don't think has lost aside and was a belt holder that wasn't bad either.

I would have never thought K-9 would have carved out such a nice career.
