EBU middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (20-0, 11KOs) has promised to put a real hurt on prospect Chris Eubank Jr. (17-0, 12KOs). They are going to fight on November 29th at the ExCel Arena in London.

Saunders has gone as far as to promise retirement if Eubank is able to win that night. He has no respect for the second generation fighter. Saunders says Eubank is fraud who is living off the name of his famous father, Chris Eubank Sr.

Are BJS's British & Commonwealth title's on the line for this one? He's only 1 notch away from a Lonsdale belt out-right.

Man, it's agood fight but I just think the timing is all wrong, there isn't much to gain for either guy. BJS may get a title shot out of it but he has already faced better opponents than Eubank and what does Jr get? a notch on his belt? he is still some years away from the top scene.

I hope BJS wins, but I have no malice for Eubanks and hope he can come back one day and then go onto be as successful as his father. JUst don't need Eubank to be so c*cky considering he hasn't stepped up his level yet.

But BJS should be wary as Jnr is considered more talented than his father at this stage of his fathers career. And even at this stage Senior was pretty good, or at least would have given anyone a tough fight with his hard to crack chin alone.

Not really sure what to make of Saunders' trash-talking. Shouldn't that be Eubank Jr.'s job, considering his lineage? I don't know if Warren is having a hard time promoting the fight or what, but Saunders getting Tyson Fury-levels of mouthy (i.e. threatening retirement) doesn't reassure me of a win. He's a very good boxer, but not a spectacular fighter.

How has Eubank Jr. looked in his past few fights? I haven't watched him since 2012.

It's a huge payday for both of them, the rivalry has been simmering for some time now. In fact, I'd estimate both will make more than they would fighting for the WBO world title. So lots to gain, as there always is when there's a high-profile domestic fight born out of a rivalry. If Saunders wins he claims the Lonsdale belt outright against a bitter rival and has more or less officially cleaned up in Europe; he'll target the world next. If Eubank wins, he has leapt into the big time, claiming three belts in one fell swoop. Jr has sparred some of the top super middleweights in the world, Groves, DeGale, Froch etc and has, by all accounts, impressed. His level of opponent thus far has been poor, but you can see he has bags of ability. I'm personally intrigued to see if he can harness that to overcome a more experienced fighter in Saunders. All around, it's an interesting match and I can't wait to see how these two match up.

Eubanks is a cheeky little boy, sparring with the worlds best, but not fighting them.

Has BJS sparred with anyone half decent to gauge how he fared against the big boys.?
Because as of now, Eubanks is ahead of BJS in who he has sparred with. And BJS is ahead of Eubanks of who he has actually fought and beat.
