You obviously dont know anyting about technical fighting lol. Its used as defense. if chino was good enough he would be able to cut the ring off but he wasnt. Ali was a a major runner and had great foot speed is why he won the majority of his fights. Sugar ray leonard also did this and they do it because it nutralizes any offense and allows you to capitalize on a fighter mistakes and make him walk into punches.

WHy stand there and trade with someone when you can win and dominate from the outside, any smart fighter with good foot speed will rather "run" than take damage and walk out with a UD
