As a prelude to the upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View® showdown on Nov. 22 between world welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao and fast-rising challenger Chris Algieri, HBO Sports will air “24/7 Pacquiao/Algieri,” an action-packed one episode, 30-minute special examining the 147-pound title showdown.

The “24/7 Pacquiao/Algieri” special will premiere Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on HBO immediately following the live World Championship Boxing event from Atlantic City. The all-new documentary-styled presentation will explore the intriguing storylines connected to the Nov. 22 fight: one of the world’s most popular and famous athletes defending his crown versus a remarkably confident, poised and undefeated prizefighter from Long Island, whose journey to the highest-profile stage in the sport is unparalleled and reads like a Hollywood script. At least it won't be scripted and fake, like other boxers.

What are they going to do, talk about Algieri's kick boxing career?

Or how dominate he has been at 147?

I like how people complain about algieri coming up ONE WEIGHT CLASS. Compare that to JMM moving up TWO WEIGHT CLASSES and being cheated on the scales. Oh wait, he whos name shall not be said, never does anything wrong or hypocritical.

Like people didn't cry over the undefeated Ricky Hatton moving (back) up from 140 to 147 when he challenged Mayweather.

I always loved this outlook on the matter from this video... topics such as future HOF Shane Mosley jumping 2 weight classes to beat Hoya. Or dare we talk about the greats where Duran jumped two weight classes to beat SRL. But future HOF and P4P #2, JMM is not worthly of attempting to achieve such a feat? Bert Sugar thought he did........ at least until JMM lost..... every second....... of every round.

Difference is, Alierei is not P4P or even on the same level, let a lone considered the best. He hasn't accomplished anything especially when comparing him to the likes of Duran, Mosley, JMM and Hatton who all moved up 1 to 2 weight classes to face the best while being considered ONE OF THE BEST. Floyd has also done this himself over the years... The problem is, Pac continues to fight guys who don't fight at 147. At what point do you start giving actual welter weights a chance? The correct answer, When Bob Arum says so.
