I think Cotto will win just like he did against Mosley.

So how about you (Chavez Jr.) make some effort to facing at least one of them.

I think Cotto's going to work Canelo to be honest. The kid lacks the tools to get the job done in my honest opinion: he lacks the ability to outbox him, the physical build to keep him at range, and the work rate to overwhelm him.

I'd go by Cotto's last two performances, and say that Cotto will dominate Canelo. Floyd and Angulo towards the end of the fight proved that Canelo doesn't fight well when you back him up and you get off first... Cotto will land first all night on Canelo... it'll be interesting to see if Canelo can handle Cotto's power...
No damn way Cotto got robbed. He was comprehensively outboxed and the judges actually got the scores right for once.

Some people refuse to realize this but Cotto is done, hes cashing out against Canelo.

Same thing I said during the martinez-cotto thread ima say it here. Keep sleeping on cotto. He can box (thank you pedro diaz), has power, footwork, better defense, he went back to his killer left hook to the body, combinations and a BETTER trainer than what he has EVER had.

heres canelo with cottos fat older brother:

Why do people keep bringing this up? Cotto must be a monster puncher if he's the only guy to ever hurt him even though he's fought much bigger guys. I'm sure guys like Rhodes, Trout, Angulo, an Lara don't punch as hard. This is basically the same thing as Cotto getting wobbled by Corley in his earlier days.

                  Here's what I see happening:

The great Freddie Roach trains, inspires and convinces Cotto to fight the perfect fight

Coupled with Cotto's own realization of what's at stake as far as his legacy's sake.

Cotto's desire wins it because he wants it/needs it more!

Freddie Roach vs whoever the fck trains Nelo

And..and let's not forget who gets A-side favor in negotiations.

                  Cotto wins.

being mexican and being the sole cotto fan in my boxing circle, i still see canelo winning this fight. competitive in the first six. youthfulness and size will be the difference in the second half. cotto will not be able to sustain that kind of ****ing for a full twelve rounds. dont get me wrong i will root for cotto the older vet, but im still a fan of canelo. i see a split decision for canelo. i dont see a ko in this fight. maybe a knockdown but not a knock out.
cotto fans dont fool yourself. cotto did beat up an enactive one legged man. u have to admit to that.
