Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: Tremendous Buzz For Rubio Bout

Gennady Golovkin has become quite the hot ticket in Southern California.

So much so that his 12 round middleweight bout against Marco Antonio Rubio on October 18 at the Stubhub Center in Carson has sold out. While many fight fans have scoured websites like Stubhub to see if they could still get their hands on those tickets, there is a possibility tickets could be available after all.

That is because K2 Promotions, who is promoting the card in association with Promociones Del Pueblo, is looking into solidifying additional bleacher seating inside the tennis court stadium at the Stubhub Center.

If you give the fans what they want they'll show up. 17 straight KO's gets attention.

This fight could be the most attended fight card at the StubHub Center ever... besides that one other card that was actually far and away the most attended fight card at the StubHub Center.

Tom Loeffler is the biggest windbag in boxing.

DelaHoya-Forbes was in the soccer stadium, it's not near as view friendly for a boxing match as the tennis stadium though. Their creating demand and that's good as it'll build for the next one. Could go to the Forum after this or even Vegas at the MGM. The question is who? Soliman & the IBF are now out of the question, Korobov/Lee will have to face Saunders/Eubank. Golovkin might have to fight a SMW like Froch next.

I was there for both Margarito vs Williams and Maidana vs Lopez and I remember it been a little bit more packed for the marg vs Williams fight but I could be wrong.
