Why is Deontay Wilder so hated on?

Seriously how is nobody happy that he could be the first american champ in years?

All i hear is "wilder fights weak guys" "wilder got a glass jaw". Alot of dudes have glass jaws, wilder just knocks you out. Even klitschko got a glass jaw but that is irrelevant.

And the only valid hating points i have seen is that he has a glass jaw. Ok then if hes so bad why havent ppl equally as bad beat him yet? that obviously means hes atleast somewhat good lol.

I just want to see what ppl will say when he Ko's stiverne

Even holyfield said nobody can beat him.

And in honesty , the only good competition stiverne has had is a washed up areolla. Come fight night sitiverne is facing a 31-0 knockout king.

People hate on him because of his opposition.

But everyone in the Heavyweight division not named Wladimir Klitschko is a Tomato can.

Hasn't really done anything. Get slots of attention because of his physique.

He gets a lot of attention because of a 100% KO ratio, not his physique

Soft opponents. Basically gets the Gary Russell jr treatment. I like the guy and I HOPE he turns out to be something special, but he's done absolutely nothing yet in the sport. So he needs to earn respect (knocking out Stiverne would help tremendously).

Because he hasn't fought or beaten anyone ranked yet but because of boxing politics he is getting an undeserved title shot..

He should have had at least a few fights with other fringe contenders like tony Thompson, Seth Mitchell, mike Perez, adamek, Jennings, etc...
Sorry but beating the guys he did hardly merits a top 10 ranking, let alone a number 1 contender..

He is just such a big question mark.

And with the amount of fights he has had in an era that is widely regarded as the weakest for decades in his division people are bound to scratch their heads as to why he has fought such modest competition.

He is absolutely worth betting against in the Stiverne fight in my opinion.

Because his suspect punch resistance, and overhyped power is not something true boxing fans take serious.

Oh and lets not forget the level of opposition in 30+ fights...

Tyson PRO FIGHT 27 Trevor Berbick
Holyfield PRO FIGHT 13 Henry Tillman
Lewis PRO FIGHT 24 Frank Bruno
Tua PRO FIGHT 23 David Ruiz
Muhammed Ali PRO FIGHT 19 & 20 Henry Cooper & Sonny Liston

And.... Deontay Wilder.. hmm okay, right, maybe, well... PRO FIGHT 28 Audley Harrison?

                  Speaks for itself.

To be fair his physique has filled out quite a bit.
