Frank Warren is facing former charge Ricky Burns in court this week as he bids to sue the former two-time WBO world titlist—at Super featherweight and listweight respectively—for around £2,000,000, according to a news report on STV.tv. Burns left Warren for Eddie Hearns’s stable in March 2013. Warren is suing for loss of income caused by the split, which he alleges was a case of what is known in sporting circles as “tapping up”, speaking to someone who is under contract without permission. Burns countered by claiming that Warren did not pay some of his fight purses in full.
