You F***ing moron! If you anything about Golovkin or boxing for that matter you would know that it is a fact that GGG's trainer,Abel Sanchez, trained GGG to mimic Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.'s style. You can see it very clearly that GGG fights in a very similar way to Chavez Sr. When Golovkin referred to Mexican Style, he was referring to exactly that, his style is that of a Mexican style of Boxing, where one stalks, moves forward, uses the body shots and has very head and waist movement. Mexican style of boxing consists of being aggressive and not backing down, not running around the ring, and not clinching. In fact clinching in Mexican Boxing is considered cowardly and cheap. Most real Mexican boxers choose to fight their way out when they are hurt and usually are the most dangerous when they are rattled or take a solid shot because 99% of the time their instinct is to hit back or answer and attack. So go F***ck yourself and do some more research before sticking your foot in your mouth. And that goes to all you idiots that posted a similar post.

DAMN, you guys are foolish.
1. Gennady Golovkin is of Russian-Kazakh descent and they each have their own boxing style in which he utilized throughout his whole amateur career.
2. "Mexican Style" quote was pure marketing
3. GGG will be a rich man from the likes of people such as yourself
4. I didn't mention anything about Floyd Mayweather or slick boxing-a fighter doesn't have to be one or the other. Gennady happens to be a combination of both aggressive offensive fighter with plenty of "slick" movement.Comment

Second of all, A lot of boxing experts have compared GGG with JCC SR.'s Style and how they are similar looooong before GGG mentioned "Mexican Style" after the Geale fight. He simply answered in the best way he could to a question he was asked. If you actually did some real research and get accurate information instead of listening to the next idiot you will find that again, Abel Sanchez told GGG when he first started to train him, that in order for him to have a successful career in boxing here in the USA,and because he was an outsider because of him being European, he would have to be able to please the crowd and adapt a style that is crowd pleasing and aggressive. He used JCC Sr.'s style as an example and made him watch tapes on JCC and trained him to mimic JCC's style.Comment

Do you have trouble reading? or don't you understand English well enough? before making an ass out of yourself? We are not talking about where GGG is from. We all know he is Kazakh fighter. We are talking about his fighting style. It was not a marketing scheme when he referred to Mexican style.

What about Ruben Olivares? or Rafael Herrera? Chicanito Hernandez? What about Eric Morales? NO! Barrerra?? probably not. Israel Vasquez? Marquez brothers? Those were all great Mexican Fighters all utilizing the Mexican Style of Boxing. All very technical and graceful fighters. They boxed with an amazing style. A mexican boxers's defense is his bobbing and weaving and slipping punches, using waist movement and using lateral movement. But you would not know that because your just an idiot that know nothing about boxing and most likely have never been in the ring or even seen a boxing even live. Go F***k urselfComment
