I used to be a big Paul Williams fan. He wasn't a ATG or anything but he brought an exciting style to the sport of boxing.

He was the first to really expose the hype train which was Antonio Magarito.

He also had Miguel Cotto running scared. And Freddie Roach was on record stating that he'd never match Manny up with Paul (even though both were Welterweights).

He was truthfully one of the more avoided fighters of his day.

The Punisher will be missed but never forgotten.

I don't think you remember Paul's last couple of fights. Things weren't going very well, the amount of punishment he was taking and the way his opponents were simply figuring out his style to beat him etc. I also remember that his speech was starting to slur after those brutal fights too. At the time I was getting worried about his health and I don't know if he had more than 2 or 3 fights left in him..
