Did Marvis Frazier really have a chance?

Lets face it, Marvis was never as good as his smokin' dad. His dad been one of the few people to knock Ali out. Joe Frazier had one **** of a chin and an even bigger heart (being knocked down 7 times against George Foreman).

It sucks to know that Marvis Frazier on the other hand was more well known for being knocked out by Mike Tyson in 21 seconds than anything else.

So did Marvis really have a chance at being as good as his dad? To me it really doesn't look like it, he was too small to be a good pressure fighter and looked like he didn't have the same strength as his dad either.

I think Marvis was probably about as good as his dad.

It's just MArvis had the misfortune of being born into an era with more power punchers than his dad that neither had the capacity to handle.

Marvis was unfortunate to be a tweener and also being a son of a legend

he was a stand out amateur but his father and his team tried to change his style. In the ams he was a pretty good stand up boxer that that tried to make a swarmer, he didn't have his dads punch, chin, or sturdy thickness

Yeah, Frazier never KO'd Ali. He did drop Ali, but others have too.

ALi was not knocked out by Frazier ..... he was knocked down.

As for Frazier's son, he was pushed to fast to face very tough competition. After 10 fights, they though that he as ready for Larry Holmes? Yikes! ...... that said, Holmes and Tyson were at a different level.
