all Calzaghe has to do is go right to the body...Tarver is proven to drown in deep waters in the late rounds..

    so my pick is Calzaghe

oh and u think Hopkins don't know that?...dude is a master in breaking u down til the later rounds... and I pick Hopkins come June 10th...

I think Lacy could beat Tarver. I think B-Hop will beat Tarver too.

I don't think B-Hop will handle the jump in weight that well after fighting at 160 his entire career. Tarver will probably win 8 or 9 rounds for a UD. Tarver-Calzaghe would be very interesting. If the Calzaghe that fought Lacy shows up, it could be a long night for Tarver. Tarver's been fighting a somewhat washed up Roy Jones, an aging Glen Johnson, and next Hopkins. Calzaghe's no joke, and if Tarver takes him lightly, he'll lose. I wouldn't bet on this fight, but I do give Tarver a slight edge if he's at his best.

The reason Hopkins thinks he has a shot against Tarver is Tarver has horrible stamina issues. He doesn't have high punch output, yet he seems to tire badly in late rounds ... I mean, he looked on the verge of passing out late in Tarver Jones III. He catches Jones with a great counter, follows up with a huge uppercut, and then almost throws himself out of the ring with a haymaker ... and then he's completely worn out and Jones starts goin at him. I'm not saying Hopkins will win - I hope he does - but Tarver is not a perfect fighter because he is vulnerable late in fights.

Calzaghe can out box Tarver and totally out hustle Tarver. the only thing Tarver has going is his power in this fight, and his abillity to land big shots on guys.

if Calzaghe stands in front of Tarver like he did against Lacy he will get knocked down and maybe out.

if Calzaghe moves and doesn't stay in one spot for too long then he has a chance of winning on the cards.

Tarver doesn't throw enough to match or pass the punch out put of Calzaghe....

            good match up....

Some people cannot read, i said these fighters are either better, or i would rather watch. Has Tarver bin in a better fight than gatti v ward? Or Has he even knocked anyone decent besides an aeging Jones. As for witter i would still rather watch him than Tarver, its all a matter of a opinion..i just cannot stand Tarver, i still need convincing.
