Lara could blame his trainer who kept on telling him "continue doing what you are doing"

Didn't his trainer know that he would have had to do way more than that to beat Canelo, the fan favourite fighter?

It was actually a close fight because neither did much of anything. Lara could have come up on top but they just wanted to do just enough each round to win the fight .......

BTW - Lara did run the extra mile against Canelo lol!
It's too bad, he has the skills to give anyone trouble

I have been reading some of the posts and it's true that Lara fighting is about as exciting as watching paint dry. His safety first hit and run fight with Canelo sure didn't earn him the coveted Mayweather fight. If Lara wants big money fights he needs to knock some guys out and be exciting and that doesn't seem likely to happen.

for the record he is the most difficult fight out there for Floyd as of now

it's unlikely he'll get the fight since nobody knows who he is.

usually I feel a shred of sympathy for guys who didn't have the scorecards go their way

however, when I think of his last fight the responsibility lies entirely with Erislandy

he has enough ability to ensure that he secures the victory but always opts for the bare bones route

immediately after the fight 60% of viewers thought Erislandy won. however, that's easily brushed under the rug now since Alvarez is marketable and no one remembers Erislandy

It's an intriguing fight that will never happen.

Mayweather won't fight a guy like that since he usually needs a come-forward fighter in order to sell, fortunately for him this also works for his unbeaten record since slow pressure fighters are the style that he tends to destroy with his counterpunching style.

A better question: Does Lara give Floyd more problems than Khan... obviously no one gives Floyd problems like Pacman

And this is NOT a boring fight... it's two master technicians of the sweet science... if you truly appreciate boxing, you appreciate this fight
How foolish was Lata looking when his forehead was split in half by an uppercut? How outclassed do you think Canelo felt when he was sweeping all the middle rounds of the fight?

                  I need answers.

Lara got his big shot and he didn't take advantage of it. I've rarely seen a guy be so competitive in his big step-up fight and still piss off so many fans.

As long as Lara fights like he's keeping score he won't be putting himself in a position where he can get another PPV fight. When you think about it he only got his shot at Canelo because Canelo is old school and will fight anyone.
