This is probably the worst fight you can make in boxing, only because Rigo vs Lara can't be made due to the weight.

There's only one fighter(Pac) that takes floyd into deep waters, and that's the problem... But someone like Lara could maybe win on points( and at least it is realistic, vs maidana's puncher's chance)... if given the choice between khan and lara, I'd choose lara...

It's about making the most difficult fights for a fighter, not necessarily the most "exciting"... some people like to watch the Rigo's and Lara's of the world...

I'm sorry, but I have to jump in your conversation. Bernard Hopkins was an ATG WAY before he won the light heavyweight championship. It hurts as a boxing fan to hear other boxing fans even insinuate other wise. As Larry said, he defended the MW title 20 times.

These threads are crap, it's the same with Khan even he thinks he can't beat him, even he says his style will give Floyd problems.

Hahaha I don't agree with u often but funny thing is Lara would probably still run from Rigo.

huge lara fan and thought he drew his last fight

simply put he blew his chances at the mayweather fight

he could have gone the extra mile to beat alvarez but stuck to his bare minimum amateur boxing style

erislandy got no one to blame for this but himself

Floyd has already dug deep at least twice in his career to win

                castillo and maidana.

Mayweather decides who he fights and nobody else has anything to say about it. As Floyd so often reminds everyone he is the A side of any fight and if anyone wants to fight him it will be on his terms. Floyd wants to fight guys he thinks he can defeat and make lots of money doing it. I doubt he wants to fight Lara who might be a hard fight for him to win and also a fight that wouldn't be a big money maker for him. Lara is very much a high risk, low reward fight so the chances of Mayweather fighting Lara are very slim in my opinion.

Another reason Mayweather won't be fighting Lara is because Lara lost to Canelo.
