Comments Thread For: WBC Officials Complain, Being Excluded From WBC Fights

Local ring officials who are registered and accredited by the World Boxing Council are complaining that they are being excluded from WBC fights in the country and that officials who are not members of the WBC are being assigned.

The officials requested our assistance to help regarding the failure of the Games and Amusements Board to assign them to WBC fights in the Philippines such as last Saturday’s clash for the vacant WBC Youth Super Flyweight championship between Rene Dacquel and Menard Abila in Taal, Batangas.

    Corruption.

If you're not on the payroll you don't work.

Why are the officials so eager to get to the Phillipines anyway?

this happens in all 4 major + something ref as mcTavish needs 2 stop complaining 2 the press & goes to his organization another ie: Mathysse vs Ortiz a short time back in OH where a WBO ref was used & the judges were affiliated w/no major body The 1 woman judge had only judged 5x, can't c what her competency was 2 qualify her...Assignments like this hurts the sport w/unqualified decision...I am a fan, but if it's an issue go to your body...They can protest assignments of states, I think...
