Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Still in Hot Pursuit To Land Mayweather

The World Boxing Council reports that Britain’s Amir Khan is “hot on the trail” of WBC welterweight and super welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The WBC described the former world champion and Olympic silver medalist Khan as “fast on his feet, quick witted and with blazing combinations in his gloved hands.”

The WBC welterweight Silver champion, according to the WBC website, “argues he possesses boxing skills, speed and the challenging style to entice great pay-per-view numbers.”

It's gonna be Khan in May so everyone just needs to embrace it (unless the Pacman fight happens)

and damn Mayweather vs Khan, cotto, and thurman are all pretty good fights.

it would be hilarious if he does it again and again fails to land the fight

The WBC sure has had a lot to say lately about Floyd's next potential opponent.

Didn't know they were so verbal.

Khan needs to learn that Mayweather already ducked him twice to face someone who he already beat.. No way Floyd fights him now.. he just thinks Khan could be too much for him.. you saw how Maidana had some moments of success, now imagine what Maidana's father, Amir Khan, could do to Floyd? Floyd had trouble with the boy now what happens when he faces the man?

He's on the run from Khan right now. I'm not saying prime Floyd couldn't hold his own against Khan but I think Floyd is on the decline now and he knows Khan is the most dangerous fighter he could possibly face. He is never going to fight him now, I can't see him changing his ways.

but the thing is if floyd "ducks" khan who does he fight then? thurman? I think thurman is pretty dangerous himself and so is Cotto especially under Roach. there really is no easy option for Mayweather this coming may. I think all three would be pretty competitive
