as much as I dislike mayweather I thought the corrales fight was his break through and most impressive performance. I really thought at the time that corrales was going to hurt and stop Floyd but he really did a number on coralles. that was an impressive win. as far as legacy defining win he doesn't have one

          Genaro Hernandez
          Diego Corrales
          Jose Luis Castillo x2
          Oscar De La Hoya
          Saul Alvarez

Those 5 right there are my fav Floyd performances. I know a lot of guys in here making it seem like Floyd's resume is "weak" but who is missing really? Antonio Margarito damn sure aint no HOF and he was just another slow come forward fighter. Sergio Martinez was just too big for Floyd i know u guys really want to see the man lose but cmon lol. You could make an argument that he should of fought Paul Williams but Floyd still fought Shane Mosley when Sugar was like the # 2 best welterweight in the world. The only one that's really missing on Floyd's HOF resume is Manny Pacquia. I really wish we get that fight sooner rather than later!

mosely was well past it when pbf fought him. I still feel strongly that a young prime mosely would have beaten pbf

but mosley was p4p #3 according to ring magazine. i mean an old guy who looked terrible for years then scores an upset clinchfest win is definitely one of the best fighters in boxing right?

Prime for Prime both Mosley/ODLH would had beaten Mayweather. ODLH wouldn't beat Pacquiao though while Mosley @ LW likely could..

As for Mosley being ranked #2, that was just an over-reaction due to beating Margarito.

yea,,,mosely was done well before then. marg was nothing without those loaded gloves as cotto showed in the rematch. I agree that a young dlh also would have beaten him with that jab. he gave him fits with it when he was well past it in there first fight

You guys need to understand that Floyd Mayweather Jr didn't start "calling thr shots" until 2007. Everything prior to that was Mr. Scumbag Arum on the steering wheel. Also, you guys need to take into consideration that Floyd Mayweather before 2007 was high risk, low reward for big stars such as a prime Mosley and De La Hoya. Floyd kept calling them out with no answers back, well Shane actually responded saying he had a messed up tooth or something along those lines..
