Jones vs. Griffin is my favorite revenge beating of all time. What made it satisfying to witness was that Griffin was acting like he totally deserved the win from the first fight. He acted like he put on a boxing lesson, that he would have won the fight anyway etc. Then in the lead up to the 2nd fight he reiterated that he was going to continue where he left off and outbox Jones so more. Just a whole bunch of nonsense.

Jones responded with a devastating 1st round KO. Jones wasn't looking for anything else besides the knockout. He wanted to make an example of Griffin and he did.

Just hit me, Whitaker vs JLR II, Ramirez got embarrassed. Of course the first fight was a huge robbery but still.

        I voted Roy cuz I'm a homer

But Louis was a better revenge since he actually clearly lost the first time, plus it was more punishing

I voted for the Louis fight. I think Louis was a harder puncher than Jones and he landed all of his best punches.

I know this one doesn't really fulfill the conditions of the discussion since it wasn't a rematch, but if u mention revenge beating, u have to mention the beating that Muhammad Ali put on a guy by the name of Ernie Terrell in 1967, Terrell called Ali Clay all the time before the fight and he refused to call him by his new name Ali. Ali beat the hell out of him for 15 long rounds although he could've finished him off much earlier, but he just wanted to punish him longer. Throughout the process of giving him the worst beating of his life he kept asking him "What's my name punk?! What's my name?!"
