SANTA MONICA, California -- Kathy Duva's Main Events has had an exclusive output deal with NBC Sports since 2011. That agreement is about to expire, and according to the longtime promoter, Al Haymon is taking the reins.

Duva simply couldn't compete with the kind of money Haymon was slinging around in talks with the television giant. Just how much are we talking here? According to Duva, Haymon is offering NBC in the neighborhood of $20 million for around 24 fight dates.

I think we can safely assume that part of what she said is pure speculation.

what I found interesting was Duva admitting she didn't make the best fights because her contract was running out.

Imagine if the best fighters in the world are fighting on network TV instead of premium subscription channels and PPV? And they call him the devil?

Al Haymon is trying to save boxing.

Actually she tried to make Kovalev/Stevenson until AL swooped in and ruined it.

In theory it does sound good. I want to see where the money is going to come from to pay ALL of these fighters he signed without the backing of Showtime or HBO.

Lets take Quillen for example. He turned down 1.4mil for a future TBA opponent. How does Quillen make more than 1.4 fighting on regular network television.

Nice, Haymon will bringing the Danny Garcia vs Rob Salsa fights of the world to NBC Sports! How exciting! More tune up bouts from hype jobs like Adrian Broner and Andre Berto!

Pacquiao KOs everyone on Haymon's roster in under 8 rounds including Mayweather who gets that Tarver-Roy Jones 2 treatment
