I was tempted to respond as if if Mayweather said something really ****** or denigrating like "that Russian dude is **** and Andre Ward would KO him," just to see who would see my post, assume I wasn't lying, and make a 20 page thread of people attacking Mayweather for something he never said.

historically, no doubt. but it wouldnt surprise me at all if he really doesnt keep up with the divisions in which he would never compete today. he knows his craft, very few fighters today do. not much he can learn from watching these other guys today, he watched the greats for sure though.

doubt it. maybe when he was younger he knew who most boxers were but as of now id really doubt it. kovalev isnt that big of a name and it wouldn't surprise me if he only paid attention to the divisions around him. i remember when pacquiao didn't know who rios was.

To be fair, he might not know many other boxers outside of his weight class. We know he's not one to read about the sport, so he's relying on whatever he sees at his gym and HBO/Sho.

Martin Murray and Jamie McDonnell don't know any either, they're fans of other sports.
