What you need to understand is that whoever Floyd fights, he's guaranteed to make in the upwards of the $30-40 million on the purse alone and on the PPV and tickets because he runs his own promotion company. Floyd doesn't need Manny to make the kind of money he wants to make. Manny needs Floyd. His ppv numbers are consistently better and everything.

That kind of logic is trash...it's not about who needs who. It's about cementing your legacy and quieting your critics and bashers. They have been the #1/2 boxers for the past decade, the fans deserve to see them fight at least once. You can't call yourself TBE and doing this and that for the fans when you don't fight the big elephant in the room.

Then Floyd said Manny needed to resolve things with Marquez, and Juan won't fight Pacquiao. Then Floyd said Manny was on the downside of his career. Then Manny has low PPV numbers, then Manny needs to sign with TMT, then Manny has to do this without Arum. Now Floyd's PPV has been constantly sliding down since the Canelo fight. Maidana 2 that was earlier reported as doing 925 PPV, it's being discovered thru the g****vine those numbers are much lower than 925, but has not been revealed yet. Now Floyd could fight Manny in Macau tax free for his biggest payday ever, Dubai is rumored at throwing $227M at such a fight. But Floyd would rather take a safe route with Khan and cash in on the UK following despite Khan-job not beating anyone credible at 147, clearly not deserving a shot at Floyd OR Manny. Floyd should give Khan the same treatment he BS'd Manny with: "Go redeem yourself in unfinished business with Prescott, Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia first".
