What if ali wasn't successful in fighting the US government and got shipped off to war?? How do you think that would have changed the face of boxing, keep in mind some of the best fights in history involved ALI..
How different would the boxing world be if ali went to war???

he would not have fought in the war
he would have given a few exhibitions,
kept his title (because no way they would have stripped him),
stay in better shape,
maybe beat frazier, maybe not (but for sure the fight would have been earlier)
and in that case he would have been the one meeting foreman,
maybe he would have been taking him lightly and lose or maybe he would have thought of the rope-a-dope anyway.
in this latter case: he would have probably beaten joe louis' record for defenses and/or marciano unbeaten streak.Comment

yes but WW2 was different and Ali coulda died he woulda been a prime target for snipers and boxing will not have been the same, cause as u know, usually in boxing when the heavyweights are watchable and exciting the lower weights feed off that which makes a great era, we have very good divsions at lower classes but without a Ali or Tyson they dont get attention, unless theres a SRL or DLH type character at a lower classComment
