Comments Thread For: Arum: Crawford-Beltran Could Be 'Fight of The Year'

Terence Crawford's KO win over Yuriorkis Gamboa is one of the leading candidates for 2014 Fight of the Year. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum thinks Crawford might top it with his next bout.

Crawford faces Ray Beltran on Nov. 29 in his native Omaha, Nebraska, and Beltran brings just the style to make another action bout.

No way, I don't think Crawford is overly exciting unless forced into it and don't think Beltran fights in a way that brings out the dog in him.

I think it will be a tactical match really with Beltran likely having issues with Crawford's range and speed. I think Beltran's best way to deal with those issues is to muck up the fight making it rough and tough while staying in close but in proper punching range.

It is an interesting good fight, but putting these kind of expectations on any fight will only lead to disappointing fans, doubly so in this case.

Crawford was "exciting" in his last fight because of Gamboa. If TC had his choice he will sit back and box all night long.

If Beltran can't bring the fight to him this could be an uneventful decision.

But you really can't say for sure if it's FOTY until the fight actually happens.

Crawford will methodically outbox Beltran for an easy decision. Fight of the Year? Not a chance.

Yes!!! Crawford is boring and that fight was only exciting cuz of the way Gamboa went after it.

I dont think it will be that type of fight, i see it playing out like a very evenly matched boxing chess match, with a few exchanges thrown in there.
