Verdejo should stay away from Salido, bad fight for him.

Verdejo is 5'9, 140 and young, growing. Salido is 5'6, 130, and old. This will never happen, but Verdejo likes to name drop. First he is going to let Pedraza keep his zero, now he wants Salido. Why not Crawford, or Beltran, Broner, not Jr LWs.

If that fight were to happen in the next few months, Salido most likely would prevail but I got the feeling that it may take more than a year and half to get made and Salido, who is almost 34 yrs old and has already 57 big battles, would be taking that fight too late. Salido can only get worse as he ages while Verdejo should get better as he peaks. It sorts of remind me the talk before Canelo-Floyd fight since everybody was saying that Floyd legs are getting slower fight after fight while Canelo, then 22 yrs old, was going to improve. Therefore, Floyd wanted that fight ASAP and he even required a catch weight (just in case) to minimize the risk. At the end Canelo fought with the complete wrong plan which proved to be a big mistake (trying to outbox Floyd instead pressuring and cutting the ring).

              Easy win for Verdejo

Salido's chin is cracked. Verdejo will get a KO win.

Verdejo is good. TR will likely wait to Orlando goes through one more really tough fight then put him in with Felix.

I may despise Bob but TR is very good a building young fighters, especially guys like Verdejo that appear to be future stars.
