Comments Thread For: Jose Pedraza-Michael Farenas IBF Eliminator on 11/14

After some uncertainty over who he will fight and when, former two division world champion Gerry Penalosa says his protégé Michael Farenas will fight undefeated Jose “Sniper” Pedraza for the IBF super featherweight No.1 ranking which will put the winner in line for a mandatory title shot.

Penalosa told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard/Viva Sports that the fight is “a done deal” after successful negotiations for the fight to take place in Caguas, Puerto Rico on November 14.

And another solid matchup for november to go along with the Gradovich/Velez matchup a week later. End of year is looking good, not overly great but very good!

I like Pedraza, but I wish this fight was somewhere else. Farenas has been on the short end of the negotiations everytime I've seen him fight. How many Filipino fans will attend this fight? Farenas deserves a little better than "successful" negotiations, he has at least earned neutral ground. He has to stick his head in the lion's mouth, again.
