It's official - the World Boxing Council has announced that WBC super flyweight champion Zulina Munoz will fight a mandatory defense next, against WBC Silver super flyweight champion Mariana Juarez.
The WBC's Director of Press and Boxing Sage Prof Victor Cota, explained the date of the mandatory is up to both sets of boxing promoters...by herein lies the snag.
In a conference call, promoter Reginaldo Kuchle said that Mariana is chalked down to fight new WBC champion Jackie Nava next, probably in Chiapas in November. Somewhere down the line Mariana is also itching for a rematch with Ava Knight, who she fought when ill, and to whom she dropped a unanimous decision.
