Without an amateur pedigree it's hard to forge ahead in the pro ranks. It's not unheard of, doe - I think Ron Lyle and Jameel McCline both went pro without amateur experience.

If anything, it will be fun to follow this kid's career; maybe he'll make a go outa it

          Very good left hook.

It's good that he is trying to use his left jab. This shows that he may be training with people that teach good fundamentals.

He has a nice long range right lead.

His weakness is in the short rights (both the straight and the uppercut).

He needs to move his head more. Makes him look like an MMA boxer that he doesn't.

He should move up to a world class gym once he gets past his 10th pro fight -- perhaps at Wild Card or at Mayweather's. Avoid Algieri's trainers at all cost.

                  Meanwhile in other HW news:

MIAMI - Trey Lippe-Morrison gave Thomas Jones one to grow on.

the main event of Saturday night's Four State Franchise boxing matches at Buffalo Run Casino, Lippe-Morrison beat Jones by technical knockout midway throught the second round.

With heavy body shots drawing Jones' hands down, Lippe-Morrison threw his hands high and connected on brutal punches to the head, enough to prompt someone in jones' corner to toss a white towel into the ring.

Referee Gerald Ritter stopped the fight shortly after Lippe-Morrison's final flurry of power punches. Jones was temporarily disoriented and had given up blocking Lippe-Morrison's throws.

The win lofts heavyweight Lippe-Morrison to 8-0 with all wins by knockout.

He's not too shabby. Decent athleticism, hand speed, and power.
