    Little Paulie

Little Paulie doesn't hit very hard. He is ashamed of it, so he tries to tear down other boxers who can knock your block off. He's just a little piss ant.

Amir Khan's trainer Freddie Roach is convinced that the Briton can defeat Floyd Mayweather Jnr after he "beat the s**t out of" Manny Pacquiao during sparring.

Roach, who oversees both Khan and Pacquiao, pitted the two against each other during one of Khan's training sessions ahead of his bout with Marcos Maidana.

According to Roach, Khan proved his pedigree at the highest level by dominating the man widely regarded to be the world's pound-for-pound king.

"Amir beat the s**t out of him for four rounds in the last session before we started easing off the training," Roach said. "Even Manny knows that and he said so."

Khan, who defends his WBA light-welterweight strap against Maidana at the weekend, is training his sights on a 2011 bout against Mayweather Jnr. Taking on the unbeaten American would mean a step up in weight - and quality - for Khan, but Roach has no doubts that the 24-year-old has what it takes to triumph.

"I used to think I had one fighter who could beat Mayweather - but now I think I have two," Roach said. "I am not a big fan of Mayweather - Amir and Manny have speed which he can't handle. If Mayweather won't fight Manny, maybe he'll fight Amir.

"I am not saying I would want that one right now, but maybe in another two fights. I have never had a better listener than Amir. You give him a gameplan and he sticks to it. I know he will do that on Saturday

I'm not surprised Paulie said this. Thurman needs to prove himself.against better competition. At this point. I can't give him the nod. Pacquiao stops Khan. How embarrassing for Paulie if Pacquiao were to spark the three guys that wrecked him in Cotto, Hatton and Khan.

I honestly can see Khan beating PAC. Yeah Khan has been KO'd but who has PAC KO'd in the last five years? I mean for a guy that is supposed to have this dynamite power he hit Rios and Bradley all night and didn't seem to hurt them at all. I think we are all thinking of the PAC that put Hatton to sleep or destroyed Margarito and Cotto but that's not the PAC we see today.

You can always count on Roach to say something he might regret later. Anyway, I just saw this 2 minutes ago:

De La Hoya considering Mares vs. Santa Cruz, Khan vs. Guerrero

By Wil Esco on Sep 30 2014, 9:13a

That aside, Oscar also has designs on closing out the year with an Amir Khan - Robert Guerrero fight.

"A great venue for Khan and Guerrero, and maybe where that fight belongs, would be the Barclays Center in New York," said De La Hoya. "The fans are just amazing at The Barclays Center, and I believe that we can close out the year with a big fight like that at The Barclays Center in December. If not December, then, early next year."

Clearly another pick-em fight if it comes to fruition. Khan certainly has some physical advantages over Guerrero with his pure speed, but I've never seen The Ghost get deterred and considering Khan's suspect chin, he's seemingly always vulnerable to getting clipped.

I would like to favor Guerrero for that fight. But I'm not sure if Guerrero will get up or show up for a fight against Khan. Guerrero seems to have lost his 'spark' ever since the Mayweather fight. It was like that was his dream goal, and once he achieved it, his head isn't into it like before. So I don't know.

Paulie is closer to what is going on than fanboys on here, I might totally agree with him but I know he said whatever he said based on his professional knowledge.
