Clottey threw hands in his fight with Mundine, so I'm not sure why you all are talking about his fight with Manny that happened like 4 years ago lmao. Also, even Zab Judah commented on Clottey and the Manny fight, and it's reported or supposed that Clottey has already admitted to throwing that fight.

Watch the Cotto fight, he threw hands, and won that fight in a lot of people's eyes. I don't think Clottey wants this payday, because A it's not going to be as much as he made in the Manny fight, not even close, I'd be surprised if he breaks 750K for this fight, probably not even that much. Clottey is coming to win, and he just beat a bigger Mundine, so I'm goign with Clottey on the upset, which to me isn't an upset, because 5 years ago I feel like the Clottey who fought Cotto would have beaten Canelo.

I think its an OK fight provided Clottey fights as we've seen him outside of Pacquiao

I just hope Canelo doesn't get another undecisive points 'victory' a la Trout and Lara, with the judges automatically favouring him. 1 decisive win over Angulo isn't enough to label him the 'future' of the sport, but kudos to him for taking on anyone.

They're fighting in San Antonio, I doubt the judges are going to give it to Clottey if it's close.

When was Clottey's last fight?????? I don't remember him fighting at all last year, so do anyone expect him to win this fight other then his accountant. Cindanelo & GBP are padding this boys resume with washed up use-to-be's and trying to make this kid the face of boxing. I'm not buying into this kid is this or that. He's nothing more then a Mexican trying to cash in onbeating bums. He loss against Lara, they robbed Cotto for him to fight weak ass Trout, he got schooled by Floyd so they went back to fighting bums & had him fight Angulo. So I guess it's Clottey's turn to get used as a name for this boy's has been list. When will this kid fight the likes Molina,Charlo, Baysangurov, Kirkland????? I think the boy & his promoter are scared of a real test other than someone moving up in weight.

Clottey looked like a new man in his last fight versus Mundine..Go look it up on utube..he was throwing punches all night..knocked the man down 5 times...

If that same Clottey shows up vs Canelo, I give him a chance for the upset.

Exactly... durable. Not threatening, not challenging... just durable. When Clottey senses danger, Clottey summons the shell and his main objective is to survive the fight. It's like he gets pleasure from surviving, he even smiles when he pulls down the guard after the fight is over.

This fight won't look much different than the fight against Angulo. All of Clottey's skills and abilities are quickly disabled with constant / persistent offense.

You can't hate on Canelo like that. It's not like he's avoiding anybody. He fought Lara when everybody said he was ducking. Lara lost that fight himself for not doing enough to keep Canelo off of him, so that fight could have went either way. I thought Lara would win but you have to really beat the guy in his house.

This is the exact reason I think this will be a great fight, Canelo doesn't throw as much as Pacquiao and if he does Clotty is durable. Fun fight IMO
