Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany - In a much tougher fight than expected, Arthur Abraham (41-4, 28KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Paul Smith (35-4, 20KOs), who holds the British title. The fight was much closer than the scorecards would indicate, as the judges had it 117-111, 117-111 and 119-109 for the champion.
Following the match, a very angry Smith, with his promoter Eddie Hearn, blasted the lopsided scorecards. Smith is convinced that he did enough to walk away with Abraham's title, and Hearn did as well.
