Same town, same fighters... same result. Four months after fighting to a 12-round draw in Playa Carmen, Mexico, Javier Prieto and Ivan Cano produced another stalemate in their rematch Saturday evening, with the winner eyeing a possible title shot at the belt currently in possession of Omar Figueroa, who may or may not vacate in the near future.
The consensus following their fight in May was that Prieto had the screws put to him. The 27-year old fought with revenge on his mind, jumping out to a commanding start as Cano seemed intent on measuring up his foe before moving into action.
