not sure about per round..but i know philip holiday holds the record of punches landed in one professional bout, which was 555 landed punches, against ivan robinson.

I remember on the PBF VS Phillip Ndou fight Larry Merchant said Ndou threw nearly 400 punches in his last two rounds against Cassius Balloyi?

I was thinking Vassily Jirov had the record for punches thrown in a round, but the more I think about it, that may've been for an entire fight. I know that up to a couple years ago, he did hold the compubox record for punches thrown in a fight, and his fight with Toney might've broken the record for punches by two fighters in one bout. I know it was close... Vassily Jirov was a very active fighter up to the Tonet fight, but he sustained quite a beating in one of the best fights I've ever watched, and has never been the same... see his fights with Baby Joe Mesi and Orlin Norris...

i remember when barrera fought keneddy mckinney he threw about 106 punches in round 5 or 6, i dont think thats the highest amiunt thrown ever but its a lot of punches
