Maidana vs Broner was actually closer than what most people think.

Just finished watching this fight again. Scored it 115-112 for Maidana was surprised that it was closer than what I always thought.

Had Broner not been dropped twice he would of won that fight. Broner actually whooped Maidana in some rounds and won the 'championship' rounds,

The 'Canman' didn't do too bad as most people make it sound like.

Some rounds were very close and could've gone either way, I even scored couple rds as draw.

    watch this fight again, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjfpuA4S8_U

Yeah people are automatically biased since it's broner lol, if he had just made chino fight off of the back foot more he could have won

If it wasnt for the 2 knock downs and Chino completely figuring Broner out.

Is this some sort of moral victory?

Maidana clearly won the fight but round by round it was pretty close to me.

I had it 114-111 Maidana. Maidana gassed badly after 2 rounds and didn't get his second wind until the second kd in rd 8 and Broner hurt him in round 12.

lol yeah lets just take away legit knock downs now. Maidana woulda won the fight without the knock downs anyway he whooped broner pillar to post. Only thing of significance broner did that entire fight was land a cheap shot at the end of the 11th round.

Yea, he only won at least 2X as many rounds and knocked him down twice. Could have gone either way IMO

I always said it was a fairly close fight and the knockdowns were pretty much the deciding factor. I think some people just overreacted at the time because they had bought into the Broner hype that the networks dished out. So they thought it was shocking to see Broner go down and be in such a competitive fight against Maidana. And so this caused them to overrated Maidana's performance.

In reality Broner had been in several close fights before and was lucky to not already have a several losses on his record - Ponce de leon, malignaggi and quintero already beat him in some people's eyes. But still, it was fairly evenly matched against Maidana all in all, with Maidana just edging it and the knockdowns sealing the deal.

Why the **** are LEGIT knock downs suddenly being negated? Its not as if they were trips that were mistakenly ruled as knock downs.
