No, he had a mandatory for both Rigo and Frampton.

This is the part where we wish we only had one belt per weight class again.

How suprising. I hope it will be a double KO.

If the WBC, WBA and IBF will make the final decision about the unifications, Frampton and LSC can't run anymore.

Frampton brings in more money and a better chance at winning for Avalos, I can see why he skipped out on Rigo. His promoters right now need to get him signed with a better promoter who has relationships like DiBella Entertainment, Gary Shaw Productions, Warriors Boxing, Star Boxing, Banner Promotions or Goossen Promotions and have them co-promote with his current team because he's not getting anything done right now.

Butwith Rigo he can be a unified champ, with Frampton he can collect just one belt. --> duck.
It's a shame that so called "top 10 fighters" and so called "champions" haven't got enough confidence to challenge themsleves against Rigo. What kind of mentality is that from a professional, elit level sportman? LOL.

I think the fact that Avalos is also promoted by Top Rank doesn't help the fact that he took the fight with Frampton, and still more money is better than an extra title and the fact Avalos has a slightly better chance at beating Frampton than Rigo.

Frampton just copy what Stevenson did, with differences like:

He has more time, while Adonis is a late bloomer, who wants to cash out before retire. Stevenson - Frampton 1-0 (credibility)

Both moved for the bigger money fights, but while Stevenson jumped ship because he wanted an other (also arguably that less dangerous or not) unification with Hopkins (2 belts) instead of Kovalev (one belt), Frampton choose a bigger money domestic level fight with Quigg (0 belt) instead of Rigo (2 belts). Stevenson - Frampton 2-0

And for now nobody can bring up the Fonfara fight (which was a set up on Shotime btw, whil Hopkins had got a fight in April against Shumenov) because Frampton looks like fights against Avalos first instead of Quigg. 3-1 (or still 2-0) to Stevenson.

So Stevenson's case actually was more understandable and logical than Frampton's now.
