As 5 min rounds 8 round fights for championships

And 3 min rounds 5 rounds for everything else.
Styles would be lost and shelved.

No one fights hard in 12 so why extend the boredom?
Do you see Mayweather or Wlad exhausted after giving everything they have to stop their opponents or dominate the decs.

There are so few fighters today that work a high work rate to begin with.
The 12 rds was brought back because the days of the 15rds became dangerous
because of high rate effort and fatigue setting in. The championship rounds (13/14/15) was thought to add dangerous damage to a fighter who had lost his conditioning and was prime for undue trauma.
It was a good move at the time, personally theres far to many 12 rd. fights these days. The garbage championship federation fights are clouding up the
real title bouts. More than half of the televised bouts that are 12 rds. should be 10 and half of them could be 8's!
Maybe then we'd get to see some action instead of tag your it and coasting!

No, state commissions would never allow this for safety reasons, they changed it to 12 for a reason..

It wouldnt be shocking if some desperate promoter in a 3rd world country with little oversight does a 15 rounder to gain some publicity
