He always claims that he wants to give the fans what they want, but he doesnt the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of that. At a certain point, people get tired of having their intelligence insulted and giving money to a guy that disrespects the fans and runs the sport into the ground.

No, it's fans like you who make anything an excuse. Like what he says here had nothing to do with fighting Pacquiao. He's just trash talking, which is what fighters do. You people call that excuse but when Pacquiao says "I still want 50-50 in 2011" or "Blood test hurt me because I small, he big" then you think it's ok.

He knows he is signed to Arum... he knows that is an impossibility.

When you create terms that are simply not doable, then you in essence are saying you don't want the fight.

There's agreeing to the A side, and then there's making demands so ridiculous that you get out of the fight without saying you dont want the fight.

How are these terms not do able? You guys kill me with avoiding the facts... HOW MANNY times does Roach have to say.. the first time it was PAC's fault and the rest were really BOB ARUM? everyone except Koncz and Arum have said this.... Oscar even said Bob was holding up the fight...

Next, is... how is it cool to fight someone that you think is on STEROIDS?

I know b/c it wasn't proven... which is true, but ROACH suing Ariza b/c of the possiblity of steroid use on Manny isn't concerning??? Roach was one of the first ones with Ariza in camp saying manny wasn't using but now they're in court b/c of it????

Wasn't one of Arum's excuses that they needed to build a bigger arena and it wouldn't be ready in enough time to promo the fight?

Why did Manny duck the highest payment for a fight he'd ever gotten in the 40 million dollar phone call? 20 mill once they hung up????

I think it's funny that floyd is the one that always has to make the conesssion with dealing with this situation....

on top of that... you give manny credit for taking fights like Rios and Alegeri? but bash floyd????

I have two things to say to that -- bear with me, REED:

1. One could just as easily argue that Pacquiao re-signing with Arum (a man who has said he'll never work with GBP, Haymon...a man who was in litigation with Floyd over money...a man who claims he didn't understand why Richard Schafer was calling him while at the same time saying he doesn't know who to call on Floyd's side...a man who found multiple excuses to avoid this fight on TWO occasions) was a sign that he wasn't interested in the fight either. After all, Manny could have done what Cotto did and then come back. Or what he made Mosley and Marquez do when they wanted to fight him. Works both ways.

2. When Floyd Mayweather wanted to fight Oscar De La Hoya, he had to leave Arum. And it was amicable. This is what was said:

Arum agreed that the split with Mayweather was not on bad terms like their brief breakup last year. In fact, Arum said, "We intend to be back together. Everything with this was honorable and good. I had offered him numbers [for a multi-fight contract extension] that were livable. His expectations are in the stratosphere. He was entitled to buy me out, and he did. We decided this was the best way to handle it. He is a free agent. We have agreed to work with each other [in the future]."

The split frees Mayweather to make a potential deal with De La Hoya without Arum as part of the promotion. His involvement would have made making a deal almost impossible: The head of Top Rank has openly feuded with De La Hoya, his former superstar, and their companies rarely do business together as a result.

Arum said he was simply not interested in participating in a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight, but not because of his distaste for De La Hoya.

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

But forget all that...real talk...Pacquiao's Arum issue is not Floyd's problem. He's reached out multiple times. And proven his point. You want the fight? Act like it. The onus isn't on him anymore.

Floyd won't work with Arum, but yet... the first time they were negotiating he was working with Arum. What happened between now and then because Floyd was working for Oscar at the time.
