The former strength and conditioning trainer of Manny Pacquiao, Alex Ariza revealed that the Top Rank executive, Bob Arum has a hidden agenda to keep the most anticipated Mayweather vs. Pacquiao from happening. Ariza blamed Arum for the repeated failed negotiations of the two parties to make the mega-fight happen.
Ariza fearlessly criticised Arum and his hidden agenda to keep the Filipino boxer from fighting the undefeated American boxer, in an interview with Fight Hype.
"The fight is not happening because of Bob Arum," Ariza claimed. "Don't get me wrong: Manny truly wants to fight Floyd, and I know Floyd wants to fight Manny, but they know that's never gonna happen," he said.
The strength and conditioning coach hinted that Arum kept the idea of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight from the Filipino fighter, every time the 35-year-old boxer asks about the bout. He also claimed that it has always been the agenda of Arum to make sure that Manny does not fight Floyd.
Ariza went on to say that when Manny starts to ask questions about his taxes or why he is not making as much money as the American boxer, Arum will answer and falsely reassure him that he will get him the Floyd fight. He believes that as long as Arum is involved, the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will not happen.
Moreover, from what Ariza is saying, Mayweather will not fight Pacquiao for the remainder of his career as it is also unlikely for him to wait for Pacquiao's contract with Top Rank to expire.

"My gut instinct on what is next? I want it to be Marquez, Manny wants Marquez, but Marquez wants a lot, lot, lot of money," Roach (seen with Pacquiao in above Chris Farina-Top Rank photo, before the fourth bout) told me. "I think it's a little outrageous. It may not happen. We might have to go to Mike Alvarado or Brandon Rios or a Tim Bradley rematch could be made. I want Marquez right away, Manny and I both want it. But Marquez wants just about a 50-50 split. Manny brings butts in seats, pay-per-view-wise, Manny is the guy. Obviously Manny deserves more. I think a rematch will make a lot more money than the last fight. I think both sides can ask for more and Marquez deserves something, but not 50-50."

So should we call Manny a "duck" for not giving in to a guy that just KO him?

Man...Even after new rules it feels like Im being trolled with may/pac threads. Totally irrelevant to me. Tired of hearings the same song and dance and blame games.
And why do networks have to pressure Professional Prize Fighters to fight? That is ridiculous.
Boxing as a serious sport is a joke. Nobody has to convince football players to play every week. Never had to talk Jordan into playing hoop. Hell, I dont like UFC but those guys dont need to be talked into fighting at the highest level.
Really sad

Im not protecting anybody fighting anybody only trying to look deeper than face value because boxing at this level is a very complex thing worth huge money that many insiders want a piece off , kids talk in here like its a fight behind the shelter shed , dont know why you mentioned career choice it is irrelevant to the dangers inside a ring , it dont change the fact the dangers are there , I know guys that went to gym as a kid and just evolved into a world class fighter , they went for fun and ended up in a career , its was not a conscious choice I want to be a fighter , or I want to be footballer , for many it just happens .
This fight has history and a lot of propaganda attached to it based on out of context comments etc , this site openly promotes that propaganda because of the activity it brings for their web site , its business to them to feed the haters , just like any media outlet , sensationalism sells .
Ive said this fight will happen all along I still think it will , just too much money for it not too , why its taking so long has got nothing to do with fear thats just little boy logic , its about politics and grudges held between the main players , money will win out in the end it usually does .
