Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr. Issued Hard Deadline To Sign For Saunders Fight

Billy Joe Saunders arrived at the “Bad Blood” press conference in a tough talking, belligerent mood Thursday in London. The middleweight was angered after discovering that Chris Eubank Jr., his mooted opponent for the November 29th show at London’s ExCel Arena, had failed to show up.

It was also revealed that Eubank Jr. (17-0, 12KOs) has yet to sign on the dotted line, leaving their proposed EBU Super middleweight title fight up in the air until later this evening. The show is topped by Tyson Fury’s world heavyweight title eliminator against Dereck Chisora.

Promoter Frank Warren revealed that Eubank has until 5pm tonight to sign his part of the deal or risk losing out on the all-British grudge clash that the contender has repeatedly called for in recent months. Saunders, though, was bullish when confronted with the news.

“He's got until 5pm tonight,” Saunders (20-0, 11KOs) insisted of his in-country rival, echoing his long-time promoter's stance. [Click Here To Read More]

If Eubank doesn't sign the dotted line then I am officially going to hate him for the rest of his career. Easy fight for him.

If it was that easy for him like taking candy from a baby and a default walkover why did he not turn up to the press conference and still has not signed the contract with a deadline of only 3 hours untill it gets cancelled? Makes no sense whatsoever that he has put this fight in jeopardy when Billy is the one with it all to lose being the WBO middleweight number 2 ranked fighter in the world and the European, British and Commonwealth champion . I bet that he would sign to fight a journeyman or a gimme fight in a flash.

Mate were talking about BJS here, the guys European level material at best I acually believe Eubank Jr would toy with him, he is just miles ahead of him in skill and boxing ability.

Eubank himself doesnt want his son to take this fight, maybe he's the one who's put a halt to this.

You've got to be kidding with that. Eubank Jr obviously has great natural talent but BJS is 3 classes above the kind of opponents he's been up against so far.
BJS isn't a power puncher so I don't think he'd stop Jr but I think he'd give him a boxing lesson.
And if Jr was going to win this he would have to do it the hard way - setting a fast pace and taking plenty of punches to land his own. He seems very strong and might possibly grind Saunders down but no way would he toy with a boxer as fast and skillful as BJS.

I wouldn't rate Eubank Jnr so high yet, hasn't even stepped up to decent domestic level yet

I did think Eubanks was being a bit quiet. He hasn't been heard saying how he is going to make light work of BJS or anything, so its hardly being bad blood like Groves and Froch or Fury and haye scale now.

Eubanks may want to preserve the zero like FLoyd
