Soliman is going to need to stop Taylor if he wants to keep his title. Haymon wants/needs that IBF title BAD. Quillin/Jacobs are only holding on to that WBA fringe title temporaryily for status. They likely have no intention of being GGG's mandatory.

This has occurred to me too.. apparently Haymon pushed pretty hard for this fight... Taylor might be kinda shot, but he's still got enough name recognition to sell a Quillin / Jacobs fight.

Soliman's a slippery f#cker and IMO could beat Taylor, but he doesn't knock guys out and isn't too difficult to score against... I won't be at all surprised if we see a little home cooking on the 8th.

I think he would until GGG connects with a flush head shot, then its all downhill for as long as Jermaine could survive

No. Taylor would lose every second of that fight. Golovkin/Taylor would be legal murder.

Soliman should win. Prime Taylor almost/probably lost to little Corey Spinks. Now Taylor given his head injuries, lack of activity, advanced age, not making 160 in years, legal distractions, vs Soliman on the best run of his career with solid wins over guys like Lorenzo, Sherrington, Sturm 2x, all the momentum's in Soiman's favor. It honestly should be a one-sided fight. Problem will be the judging. Haymon's shown he'll go all out to bend things in his favor.

Taylor can make the weight. His last wins were at 160. And hes not that old. The biggest issue with Taylor is he lost confidence after the first knockout loss.
If he got some of that confidence back, knowing that this is his last Chance he could suprise some People. Soliman really is nothing special and he dont have the power to scare Taylor. Hes just quite ankward. The question is how Taylor can handle that kind of style.

I dont care who wins because both are no threads to GGG. Of course unifying is always a good thing but i still wouldnt be to excited about GGG vs. Soliman.

Unlike the other white boys that beat Taylor, this one has no power.

Once Taylor realizes that Soliman can't hurt him, he'll take over.
