bro, he got badly beaten by a boxer - could you imagine if he fought taylor or wright who in my eyes are better boxers than joe. remember, lacy has NOOOO defense.

yeah, Lacy isn't going to want to touch Taylor or Wright at this point until he gets himself polished or the same thing is going to happen.

        Taylor

I have always thought Jermain was the superior fighter between the two.
I do know that Taylor stopped him when they sparred as amateurs, though that was back then.
Taylor may not be beaten for sometime yet, perhaps.

I really feel for Lacy because he's in a bad way here. After a loss, you have to try to work your way back up the ranks...but for what? To fight Calzaghe again? Nobody will pay to see a rematch, especially a fight Jeff can't win. The other option is to move down, but the top dogs of 168 are BOXERS who would do the same thing to him. He can't go up and challenge Tarver now that he lost. His only hope is to polish his boxing skills and pray Calzaghe retires ASAP or moves up.

there will never be a lacy v wright fight. they are best friends and have the same trainer. lacy vs. taylor would be good i dont know the outcome of that. i saw he needs to work on his skills more but he needs to go for the big time.

true that baya he needs vast improvement on defensive style fighting, but i think he'd be a problem for taylor still.

i didnt know that wright and lacy had the same trainer.

Lacy is very "green", which is the exact reason I predicted that Calzaghe was going to beat him. Lacy needs exposure to differnt styles, he should fight good fighters, not class A fighters. Give him time, he only has 22 fights.

I dont think it would be smart to lose the wt. He's right where he belongs at 168..losing the wt. could mean losing power, and then he'd have to face some defensive, technical masters. Not a very good idea! He needs to stay at S. Middle, but put in some serious time in the gym working on technique. He said after the fight that he knew thats what he needed to do, which is good. He's got the power and the chin to reign in that div.....just needs to improve on the basics (lol, stick and move!!)
